You can use shortcodes in posts and comments and also html tags everywhere. It adds some buttons to editor, which generate special short code tags to turn on syntax highlighting: [slh lang=”php”] for example. And you can use html tags, example:

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin files to the “/wp-content/plugins/” directory or install the 
    plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly..
 2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress.
 3. Use the Settings -> Syntax Highlighting screen to configure the plugin

It is so simple and as my site don’t need a ton of feature I only post css and php
