## Beskrivelse

Optisize is a powerful yet lightweight WordPress plugin designed to automatically
optimize your media library. It hooks into the upload process to ensure every image
you add to your site is compressed and converted to WebP, significantly improving
page load speeds and SEO performance.

## Installation

 1. Upload the `optisize` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory.
 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
 3. The plugin will immediately start optimizing new uploads.
 4. For existing images, go to the Optisize settings page to start a bulk conversion.

## FAQ

### Does it delete original images?

Yes, to save server space, the plugin replaces the original JPG/PNG files with their
WebP counterparts.

### Can I disable it temporarily?

Yes, there is a toggle in the Media Library to quickly turn the automatic conversion
on or off.

### Does it support GIFs?

Currently, Optisize supports JPEG and PNG files.
