Retain Author allows you to force your “next” and “previous” blog posts to stay within the same category and the same author.

Installation

Unzip the ‘retainAuthor.zip’ file
Copy the ‘retainAuthor’ folder to your plugins folder
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
Select the categories that will retain the author found under the ‘Settings’ menu under ‘Retain Author’

FAQ

Can I select more than one category?: Yes, use ctrl+click or shift+click to select multiple categories
