The plugin provides a simple dashboard with Media Health information, background scanning in small batches, image details, bulk selection, Trash recovery, and permanent deletion. You can move unused images to Trash when you want a recovery option, or permanently delete selected images when you are sure they are no longer needed. ### Features * Scan the Media Library for unused images. * Process scans in small background batches to reduce server load. * View Media Health information at a glance. * See images in use and unused images. * View the potential cleanup size. * Browse unused images in a visual grid. * Open an image to view its file name, type, size, dimensions, URL, and attachment ID. * Select individual images or select all images on the current page. * Select all unused images across all pages. * Move selected images to Trash for recovery. * Permanently delete selected images. * Manage Trash from the same Clear Media Engine page. * Restore individual images or restore all trashed images. * Permanently delete individual Trash items. * Empty the Trash. * Automatically remove Trash items after 30 days. * Paginate large media collections for easier management. * Export unused image information as CSV. ### How It Works 1. Go to Media Clear Media Engine. 2. Click “Scan for Unused Images”. 3. The plugin scans your Media Library in background batches. 4. Review the unused images shown in the grid. 5. Select the images you want to clean. 6. Move them to Trash if you may need to recover them later, or permanently delete them. 7. Open the Trash tab to restore images or permanently remove them. Upload the `walstar-clear-media-engine` plugin folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, or install the plugin ZIP from WordPress. 2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen in WordPress. 3. Go to Media Clear Media Engine. 4. Click “Scan for Unused Images” to begin scanning. ## FAQ ### Does the plugin immediately delete unused images? No. You can move images to Trash first so they can be restored if needed. ### Can I restore an image from Trash? Yes. Individual images can be restored, or you can use Restore All. ### What happens to images in Trash? Trashed images are kept for recovery and are automatically removed after 30 days unless restored earlier. ### Can I permanently delete an image? Yes. You can permanently delete selected unused images or individual items from Trash. ### Does the plugin scan all media types? Version 1.4 focuses on finding unused images. Support for additional media and file types may be added in a future update. ### Is the scan performed all at once?
