This plugin connects to the Waitlister service (waitlister.me) to process form submissions. When a user submits a form:

  • Form data is sent to Waitlister’s servers via HTTPS
  • No data is stored in your WordPress database
  • Waitlister processes and stores the subscriber information
  • You can export or delete data anytime from your Waitlister dashboard

Installation

AUTOMATIC INSTALLATION

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel
  2. Navigate to Plugins Add New
  3. Search for “Waitlister”
  4. Click “Install Now” then “Activate”
  5. Go to Settings Waitlister
  6. Enter your Waitlister key (get it from your Waitlister dashboard)
  7. Save your settings

MANUAL INSTALLATION

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file
  2. Log in to your WordPress admin panel
  3. Navigate to Plugins Add New Upload Plugin
  4. Choose the ZIP file and click “Install Now”
  5. Activate the plugin
  6. Go to Settings Waitlister and enter your waitlist key

GETTING YOUR WAITLIST KEY

  1. Sign up at Waitlister.me (it’s free!)
  2. Create a new waitlist
  3. Go to the Overview page in your dashboard
  4. Copy your waitlist key (it looks like: abc123xyz)
  5. Paste it into Settings Waitlister in WordPress

ADDING A FORM TO YOUR SITE

Method 1: Using Shortcode

Add this shortcode to any page, post, or widget:

[waitlister]

With custom options:

[waitlister fields="email,name,company" button_text="Get Early Access" button_color="#ff6b6b"]

Method 2: Using Gutenberg Block

  1. Edit a page or post
  2. Click the + button to add a block
  3. Search for “Waitlister”
  4. Add the block and customize in the sidebar

Method 3: Using PHP Code

Add to your theme template files:

DOMAIN WHITELISTING (REQUIRED)

For security, you must whitelist your WordPress domain:

  1. Log in to your Waitlister dashboard
  2. Go to Settings page and scroll down to the Domains section
  3. Add your domain under “Whitelisted domains”
    • Use: yourdomain.com (without https://)
    • For www sites, add both: yourdomain.com and www.yourdomain.com
  4. Click “Update domains”

Without whitelisting, form submissions will be rejected.
