Theme switches were unaffected, which made it harder to spot.\n* Clearing the cache on Flywheel now does something, and tells you what it can't do. The previous code called a Flywheel function that does not exist, so every attempt silently failed. Flywheel provides no way to clear its server cache from WordPress \u2014 their own maintenance script only clears the object cache, which is what Easy Optimizer now does too. The daily re-test could not help either, because it only refreshes an existing \"after\" score and so had nothing to start from.\n* WordPress 7.1<\/strong> keeps the toolbar on screen inside the Post and Site Editors, where it used to be hidden. That put \"Clear All Cache\" \u2014 a link that reloads the page \u2014 one click away while you are writing. It is no longer shown on those two screens. Everywhere else, including the classic editor, it is exactly where it was.\n* A failed automatic \"after\" test never tried again. It is now refreshed, and the cache purged, whenever any plugin is activated or deactivated.\n* Nginx snippet no longer emits the mobile rule when Separate Mobile Cache is off \u2014 mobile visitors were being routed to a file that is never written and losing the fast path.\n* Apache rules now skip requests carrying a non-standard port. %{HTTP_HOST}<\/code> keeps the port but the cache writer strips it, so the rule silently never matched; those requests are served by PHP instead, which is correct.\n* Cache directories are no longer created from an unrecognised Host<\/code> header, which could be rotated to fill the cache folder with junk directories.<\/p>\n\n\\<\/code> or @<\/code> in the hostname are no longer signed.
