Beskrivelse
Old content quietly loses traffic. Titles that say “Best tools of 2023”, pages nobody has touched in two years, thin posts, images without alt text and dead links all add up, but nobody has time to hunt for them.
Evergreen Radar gives you one ranked to-do list: your Refresh Queue. Activate it and it starts scanning. Open the queue and start at the top.
What it checks
- Outdated years in titles and repeated in the text (“Best SEO tools of 2023”).
- Stale content that has not been updated for a long time (you choose how long).
- Thin content (posts with very few words).
- Missing image alt text, which also helps accessibility.
- Missing internal links on longer posts.
- Broken outgoing links (optional, off by default).
Each item shows a priority and the plain-language reasons it is in the queue, so you know exactly what to fix.
Built for ease of use
- Zero setup. The defaults work. The first scan starts on activation and runs in small background batches.
- Bulk actions. Mark as refreshed, snooze for 30 days, ignore or re-scan many items at once.
- Rank by search traffic (optional). Upload the Pages export from Google Search Console and pages that earn clicks move to the top. The file is read on your server only.
- Weekly e-mail digest (optional). The 5 most valuable fixes, every week. Off by default.
- Content health score and trend so you can see your library getting healthier.
Fast, private and accessible
- Nothing on your front end. The plugin adds no scripts, styles or database queries to public pages.
- Gentle on your server. Scans run in batches of 25 posts. Link checks touch one site at a time and are throttled.
- Your data stays in WordPress. No account, no tracking, no cookies, no analytics service.
- Accessible admin. Built on the core list table, keyboard friendly, screen-reader labels, and priority is always shown as text and a number, never colour alone.
- Translation ready and right-to-left friendly.
- Clean uninstall. Optionally remove all plugin data when you delete the plugin.

}, 10, 2 );
External services
Evergreen Radar does not connect to any service operated by the plugin author and does not send any data about your site or visitors anywhere.
There is one optional feature that makes outgoing requests: Check outgoing links (Evergreen Radar > Settings > Broken links). It is off by default. When you turn it on, the plugin sends a small HTTP request (HEAD, or a tiny GET if the server refuses HEAD) to the external websites that your own posts and pages already link to, a few at a time, to find out whether the page still exists. Each request contains only the standard HTTP headers and a user agent string such as EvergreenRadar/1.0 (broken-link check). Requests to private or internal addresses are refused. Turn the setting off to stop all such requests.
Installation
- Upload the plugin to
/wp-content/plugins/or install it from the Plugins screen. - Activate it.
- Open Evergreen Radar in the admin menu. The first scan starts automatically.
FAQ
-
Does it slow down my site?
-
No. It adds nothing to public pages. Scans run in the background in small batches.
-
Does it change my content?
-
Never. It only reads your posts and pages and stores its own results in two small database tables.
-
Does it send my data anywhere?
-
No. See the External services section for the one optional feature that contacts the websites you link to.
-
Why is my post in the queue?
-
Every row lists the reasons in plain language, for example “The title mentions 2023” or “Last updated 2 years ago”.
-
A page is flagged but it is fine.
-
Choose Ignore and it will stay out of the queue. Choose Snooze to hide it for 30 days.
-
How do I rank pages by traffic?
-
In Google Search Console open Performance, then Pages, then Export > Download CSV. Upload the file under Evergreen Radar > Settings.
-
Does it work with page builders and custom post types?
-
Yes. Choose the content types to track in Settings. Content is analysed as saved in the database, so it works with the block editor, the classic editor and page builders that store their output in the post content.
-
Does it work on multisite?
-
Yes. Each site has its own queue and settings.
