Midrag Trust Widget is built for companies that have earned the Midrag Trust seal — awarded exclusively by Midrag, Israel’s largest consumer review platform, trusted by over 1,200,000 users.

What is the Midrag Trust seal?
The Midrag Trust seal is granted only to companies that pass a rigorous, independent verification process. To qualify, a company must achieve over 90% customer satisfaction, based on authentic reviews collected from a complete and unfiltered customer list — no editing.

Companies that earn the seal receive a unique Company GUID, which is used to display their verified badge on trust.midrag.co.il.

What does this plugin do?
This plugin offers five independent display types, all configured from a single settings page with a tabbed interface:

1. Sticky Badge (floating badge)
A floating badge that sticks to the edge of every page of your site. Visitors can click it to open an iframe showing all verified customer reviews — without leaving your site. Supports Pentagon, Circle, and Side styles with separate position, size, and offset settings for desktop and mobile. Includes a live preview mode: open your site with the badge visible and reposition it using keyboard arrows directly from the settings page.

2. Inline Badge (shortcode)
Embed the Midrag Trust badge anywhere on your site using a shortcode. Supports up to 5 independent shortcode instances, each with its own appearance and behavior settings. Place the badge inside posts, pages, or any theme template.

3. Popup Reviews Widget
Automatically shows a popup of verified customer reviews after a configurable period of user inactivity. Supports position, size, offsets, max-width, inactivity trigger time, and display duration — separate settings for desktop and mobile. Includes a dedicated preview page so you can see the popup exactly as visitors will.

4. Embedded Reviews Page
Embeds a full page of verified customer reviews directly into any post or page using a shortcode. Ideal for dedicated review pages or landing pages.

5. Reviews Carousel
Displays a scrollable carousel of verified customer reviews anywhere on your site using a shortcode. A clean, visual way to highlight your Midrag Trust rating.

Shared features across all display types:

• All display types share a single Company GUID field at the top of the settings page.
• Page Visibility control for Sticky Badge and Popup: display on all pages, only on selected pages, on all pages except selected, or exclude specific URLs.
• Separate desktop and mobile settings for position, size, and offsets.
• No shortcode needed for the Sticky Badge or Popup — they load automatically.

Important: This plugin requires an active Midrag Trust seal and a Company GUID provided by Midrag Trust. Make sure the domain where you install the plugin matches the domain registered with Midrag Trust.

External services

This plugin connects to an external service provided by Midrag (https://trust.midrag.co.il) in order to display the Midrag Trust widgets on the website. No scripts are loaded if the Company GUID field is left empty.

Sticky Badge and Inline Badge — When a valid Company GUID is configured, the plugin loads embededCompanyCard.v2.js from trust.midrag.co.il on applicable front-end pages. This script renders the trust badge, which displays the company’s Midrag rating and review count. When visitors click the badge, an iframe opens showing the full reviews collected by Midrag for that company. The data sent includes the Company GUID and widget configuration (widget type, color, position, size, offset settings) as HTML attributes on the script tag.

Popup Reviews Widget — When the Popup Reviews Widget is active and a valid GUID is configured, the plugin loads embededReviewsWidget.v1.js from trust.midrag.co.il on applicable front-end pages. This script renders a popup carousel of verified customer reviews after a period of user inactivity. The data sent includes the Company GUID and widget configuration (position, height, offsets, max-width, timing settings) as HTML attributes on the script tag.

Embedded Reviews Page — When the [midrag_trust_page] shortcode is used on a page, the plugin loads embededCompanyCard.v1.js from trust.midrag.co.il. This script renders a full embedded page of verified customer reviews for the company. The data sent is the Company GUID passed as an HTML attribute on the script tag.

Reviews Carousel — When the [midrag_trust_carousel] shortcode is used on a page, the plugin loads swiperCompanyCard.v2.js from trust.midrag.co.il. This script renders a scrollable carousel of verified customer reviews. The data sent is the Company GUID passed as an HTML attribute on the script tag.

Since all scripts are loaded directly by the visitor’s browser, standard HTTP request headers (such as the visitor’s IP address and user agent) are transmitted to trust.midrag.co.il as part of the request. The plugin does not collect or send any additional personal visitor data.

Plugin activation and Join form — When the plugin is activated, and when a user submits the Join form in the settings page, data is sent to a Midrag-operated webhook hosted on n8n.cloud (https://n8n.io). The activation payload includes the site URL, domain, WordPress version, and plugin version. The Join form payload includes the submitted contact details. This data is used solely by Midrag to track installations and handle join requests, and is not shared with third parties.
